Empowered Construction Workers Association (ECWA) Local 2 is an amalgamated trade union committed to developing skilled workers and strengthening the construction workforce across our communities. By bringing together multiple trades under one unified organization, ECWA creates pathways for individuals to enter the industry, receive high-quality training, and build lasting careers in construction.
Through strategic partnerships with training providers and signatory contractors, ECWA supports apprentices from their first day of instruction through journeyworker advancement. Our programs combine classroom learning with real-world jobsite experience, ensuring members gain the technical skills, professionalism, and confidence needed to succeed in today’s construction industry.
As an amalgamated union, ECWA represents a diverse range of trades and specialties, allowing members to grow within a supportive network that values collaboration, opportunity, and workforce development. Genesus Construction Training Center (GCTC)
Genesus Construction Training Center provides related classroom instruction, delivering the foundational knowledge apprentices need through structured coursework, textbooks, and hands-on learning environments.
